Slash News: Watch Part 2 of Monster Energy Slash European tour video, reveals new album track titles
by craig on Oct.30, 2011, under LINKS, ROCK NEWS, VIDEO
Slash has recently previewed the rough demos of 3 new tracks for Radio host and "That Metal Show's" Eddie Treunk. "Halo," "Standing in the Sun" and "Bad Rain" are the titles of the tracks.
The follow-up to his 2010 debut will be produced by Eric Valentine and feature vocals only by Alter Bridge’s Myles Kennedy. Kennedy sang on two tracks on the debut, and in my opinion they were the two besy. Kennedy reportedly turned down an offer to audition for Slash’s band Velvet Revolver, joining Alter Bridge with Creed members Mark Tremonti (lead guitar), Brian Marshall (bass) and Scott Phillips (drums).
This past Oct. 14 on Twitter, Slash wrote that Kennedy will rejoin Alter Bridge for their European tour, but will return to the studio to finish the album in December. Slash tweeted about the new tracks, “S—t is sounding so baddass! Plan on hearing something not too long from now.” “Just back from the studio. Ruff mixes sound great. Played a few for Eddie Trunk. Said he dug it.”
Check out part 2 of Slash's band on tour in Europe earlier this year with video shot by the band and their crew at www.monsterenergy.com. The latest video is set to the fantastic track "Starlight". Check out the other while you are there.
