Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead may be having some health issues of late, but don't count on him slowing down or putting down the Jack. After having to cancel a few European concerts recently due to developing a hematoma, Lemmy was recently also implanted with a defibrillator after being diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat. The cardioverter-defribullator (ICD) will deliver a jolt of electricity if cardiac arrhythmia is detected.
We were all updated on his health from a Facebook post on his official page:
"We are happy to announce that despite rumors to the contrary,Lemmy is alive, breathing, talking, f—ing, drinking, eating, reading and will be back to playing shows shortly. As reported, he did undergo a Motor-pit-stop for some medical maintenance this past spring, and the timing of his recent illness was unfortunate in that it came so soon after that. Lemmy & Co believe in the ‘keep calm and carry on’ way of thinking. Fans can anticipate more Motorhead live action this summer, as well as the most exciting Motorhead in years, ‘Aftershock’, this fall."
Take it a little easy Lemmy, we do want you around as long as we can have you! Just chill a little more at The Rainbow from time to time!

In May Frontiers Records released Great White's fantastic 12th studio album, 'Elation'. Great White’s signature grit and blues-hued sound is still present, marked with a new synergy that has lifted the band to a new level. The album stands on its own as a quality collection of modern Great White rock!
Elation is just the recording of what live audiences have been seeing and hearing as a band with a new mission. "This is a new birth of the band," Desbrow says. "I wanted to call the album 'Tabula Rasa' which means rebirth, but we went for 'Elation' because of the euphoria in the atmosphere. It’s a fresh and healthier start than ever before. I'm like a kid in a candy store."
Kendall, one of rock’s most notable guitarists, echoed Desbrow’s pure excitement. "The energy in the studio is amazing," Kendall says. "This is the most excited I've been since I was nine-years-old and got my first guitar. It's remarkable to be doing our third record with Frontiers Records and to feel the love and support from Serafino and his team. They are truly part of the Great White family."
Lardie, who also served as Elation’s producer, applauded the band's teamwork in the studio. He was struck by the group’s song writing approach and enthusiasm, and assures fans will embrace the record.
"The difference in this studio experience was simple. Everyone was completely present and contributed to the making of this album. As a producer, I feel my part is to get the best out of each of us and I got better than anyone's best!"
The album is full of great material, including the kick ass new single 'Shotgun Willie's.' Check out the new video for the track filmed on the recent 2013 Monsters of Rock Cruise.
