Aerosmith have released a trailer for the band's 15th studio album, 'Music From Another Dimension!', and two additional new tracks. The new album is slated to be available on November 6th. The track 'Lover Alot' is one of my tracks of the year so far, as it hits you hard with an old-school Aero vibe and merits repeat listens from the get-go. This is the Aerosmith track I have been waiting for!! The second track is a ballad that highlights Tyler's vocals called 'What Could Have Been Love.' Check out both tracks and an album trailer below. read more...
Rock Picks of the Week: Black Stone Cherry, Redlight King, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Papa Roach, Heart, Soulicit

Kentucky rockers Black Stone Cherry have released another great single from the 'Beyond The Devil & The Deep Blue Sea.' 'Like I Roll' is the fourth single from the album, following 'White Trash Millionaire,' 'Blame It on the Boom Boom,' and 'In My Blood.' The road warriors recently wrapped up a successful tour with Chickenfoot in the U.S. and more dates in Europe, and are back on the road this summer starting July 28th in Dubuque, Iowa. Chris Robertson (vocals/guitar), Ben Wells (rhythm guitar), Jon Lawhon (bass) and John Fred Young (drums) will be starting work on their next album this fall, and by all indications, considering all the amazing groundwork the band has behind them, it promises to be their most successful yet. Until then, enjoy the great new video for 'Like I Roll,' which documents the band's time on the road. Go and see a great american ROCK band in concert if you get a chance, Black Stone Cherry! read more...
Rock Picks of the Week Ketchup: Aerosmith, ZZ Top, L.A. Guns, The Offspring, Charm City Devils, Dead Sara

Here I am, still playing ketchup on my rock picks of the week, with Aerosmith kicking things off with their number one rock track 'Legendary Child.' The song was originally written and recorded in 1991 during the early sessions for the group's 1993 album 'Get A Grip' but had remained unreleased. I really like the new track, but it didn't hit me as hard as I hoped by the buildup to its release. It is a quality cut, but one that I think could have been taken to an even more rocking level. I know it is a radio track however, and must play to the masses as it toes the line between long time fans and a new generation being exposed to Aerosmith. read more...
