Another Rock on the Talks Roundup kicks off with Primus, who stopped by 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' on Feb. 9 to perform 'Lee Van Cleef' from their latest album 'Green Naugahyde,' and their classic track 'Jerry Was A Racecar Driver':
Josh Stone and her SuperHeavy bandmate Dave Stewart stopped by the Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson on Valentine's Day (Feb. 14) to perform 'Landlord' a track from her latest solo album 'LP1,' released last year. Stone co-wrote and co-produced the album with Eurythmics co-founder, David Stewart, and the album was put together in just six days. I just love her vocal prowess, she never fails to impress. She also sat down with Ferguson for a lengthly interview.
One of Conan O'Brien's favorites, Sacramento, California's Cake stopped by Conan on Feb. 16 to perform their latest single 'Mustache Man.'
Lenny Kravitz made a stop on E!'s "Chelsea Lately' to talk about his biracial heritage, admits he has to pass all of his dates by his daughter and flirts a bit with Chelsea.
Puscifer performed a couple of songs on the Feb. 16th episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live.' Check out 'Telling Ghosts' and 'Toma' from the band's album 'Conditions of My Parole'

One Linkin Park band member to have surgery, another co-writes new movie score
by craig on Oct.11, 2011, under ROCK NEWS, VIDEO
Linkin Park have had to cancel their scheduled Oct. 16 headlining appearance at Pensacola, Florida’s DeLuna Festival because singer Chester Bennington has to undergo shoulder surgery. Bennington hurt his shoulder while the band was on its recent tour of Asia.
“As much as I was looking forward to rocking our final date with our Florida fans, I’ve been advised to have immediate surgery,” said Bennington in a statement. “I’m sorry for any disappointment this has caused and look forward to seeing you again soon.”
Refunds are available, the DeLuna Festival, which will still feature Jane’s Addiction, Weezer, Cake, AWOLNATION, Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights, The Dirty Heads and dozens of other bands. Organizers are actively looking for big-name replacement for Linkin Park.
Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda has signed on to co-wrote a new score for the U.S. release of "The Raid", a new, no-holds-barred action film that premiered in September at the Toronto International Film Festival. Shinoda released a statement about working on his first score, "The intense visuals and compelling story of 'The Raid' have made this an exciting first venture into scoring for me. I'm thrilled for Linkin Park fans to see — and hear — this film."
Shinoda says that he likes to work on several different projects at once. "I like to focus on a lot of different things, and I tend to wander from one to the next," he said. "You know, I'm always doing a lot of different things. For some people, it's exciting, for me, that's just how I am. It's a lot of fun, and I like to kind of keep, you know, a lot of different things going at once." He has worked on movie music before with Linkin Park, but never on his own.
"The Raid" is about an elite squad of cops who stage an assault on a 15-story building completely ruled by a drug lord and his army. Twitchfilm called the film "a bad-ass fusion of 'Die Hard' and 'Assault On Precinct 13' . . . the bullets, blades, sticks, elbows and feet get flying early and never let up."
Sony Pictures has the American distribution rights to the film. There is no release date or details on whether Shinoda's score will be issued as a soundtrack.
