Cathouse Live returns to rock Irvine Meadows on August 15, band lineup has been confirmed for the Cathouse Live Battle Of The Bands

Riki Rachtman’s World Famous Cathouse will return to Southern California for one night of debauchery with Cathouse Live At Irvine Meadows, Saturday, August 15 at Irvine Meadows Amphitheater (recently known as Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre) in Irvine, CA. Original Cathouse creator Riki Rachtman, along with Live Nation and Synergy Global Entertainment (SGE), are bringing Cathouse Live to a much larger audience with this music and lifestyle festival features some of the defining rock artists of the ‘80s and ‘90s.

Extreme, Cinderella’s Tom Keifer, Sebastian Bach, Dokken, Faster Pussycat, Stephen Pearcy (the voice of RATT), Saigon Kick, Gilby Clarke, Dangerous Toys, L.A. Guns, Junkyard, Trixter, Autograph, Black ‘N Blue, Tracii Guns, Enuff Z' Nuff, BulletBoys, Bang Tango, Jetboy, Pretty Boy Floyd, Tuff and Little Caesar are ready to rock. with an All-Star Jam to conclude the show.

Cathouse Live will feature band performances on two stages, VIP Meet and Greets, a vendor village, a chopper motorcycle show, tattoo shops, go-go dancers, and more.

“I recently started a Cathouse Hollywood Facebook page and everyone was asking ‘Why don’t you do another Cathouse?’ I loved the idea and mentioned it on Twitter. So many bands told me that they wanted to be a part of it, that I knew that I had to bring it back on a much larger scale. It was too big for a club, so we decided to do a festival,” Rachtman explains. “The music scene isn't what it was like back then--that type of decadence. We’re going to bring the debauchery of the Cathouse back to Southern California! SoCal needs this kind of rock festival so people will have the chance to go out, have fun and enjoy a great rock show in all its excess. Cathouse was a very successful weekly nightclub for six years, so we’re trying to pack all those years of Cathouse into one night for Cathouse Live. All I want is for those who go to have a good time and say, ‘That was the BEST ROCK FESTIVAL EVER.’”

Tickets for Cathouse Live At Irvine Meadows are on sale now at www.CathouseLive.com and start at just $15 plus fees.

"Riki Rachtman is a great ambassador for a whole generation of hard rock," says Live Nation Executive Vice President Rich Best. "We're excited to partner with his iconic Cathouse brand to bring some of the biggest rock bands of the ‘80s and ‘90s together for this event. With over 20 bands that helped define an era with millions of records sold and dozens of hit songs, Cathouse Live at Irvine Meadows is a great value for fans."

The band lineup has been confirmed for the Cathouse Live Battle Of The Bands, Tuesday, July 14 at the infamous Whisky A Go-Go on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, CA. The grand prize winner will open the main stage and the runner up--as chosen by celebrity rock judges Riki Rachtman (Cathouse), Paul Gargano (Metal Edge), DJ Will (KNAC.COM) and Danny Dangerous (THE ZEROS)--will open the second stage at Cathouse Live.

Aerosmith News: Steven Tyler of Aerosmith getting musical advice from Johnny Depp?, “Dream On’ cover part of ‘100 Years of Fenway Park’ album

Aerosmith News: Steven Tyler of Aerosmith getting musical advice from Johnny Depp?, “Dream On’ cover part of ‘100 Years of Fenway Park’ album

Johnny Depp recently jammed with Steven Tyler, Joe Perry and Alice Cooper at the after party celebrating Depp's latest movie 'Dark Shadows,' but Depp has a history with Aerosmith as does 'Dark Shadows' director Tim Burton. Aerosmith have been holed up in Burton's old Swinghouse recording studio working on the new album and Depp has been dropping by occasionally to check in on the band’s progress.

Tyler explained, "When we are done recording, I go up to Johnny’s house and I play him stuff and I ask if it is any good. He gives me [honest feedback]." Tyler says Depp is qualified to weigh in on the subject. "Johnny is a great musician and many people don’t know that, he plays piano, guitar, he knows his music."

Tyler saiys that ‘Legendary Child,’ Aerosmith’s contribution to the upcoming ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’ movie is awesome and the spirit of the film lines up quite well with the band’s own experiences. "'G.I. Joe' [is] about deep space and 'let’s go fight the foe.' And then I thought about where the band came from, and going [into] the music business. If there ever...was a foe, the music business was. So to be successful you had to learn how to climb ladders, jump through hoops and live through burning houses."

Tyler also says the band recently spent 12 hours filming a video for the song and he gives high praise to his longtime mate Perry, who he says was “on fire” when the band was recording the song.

Aerosmith will premiere a new song on the season finale of 'American Idol' on May 23rd. It is not confirmed, but it most likely will be 'Legendary Child', which was an outake from the 'Get A Grip' sessions.

The album features contemporary recordings of fan favorites that are often heard bellowing at Fenway during games and that are associated with the area’s bands. Current and former Sox players contribute along with special guests and children from the team’s charitable Red Sox Scholars program.

'Sweet Caroline' features home run machine David “Big Papi’ Ortiz providing background vocals and improv while Clay Buchholz plays acoustic guitar. Jon Butcher is joined by Jarrod Saltalamacchia churns out additional guitar licks on a cover of Aerosmith's 'Dream On.' Daniel Bard plays acoustic guitar on album’s debut single, 'Let the Good Times Roll.' He is joined by Extreme lead singer Gary Cherone and guitarist Nuno Bettencourt.

Kenny Aronoff, who's currently drumming for Chickenfoot and has worked with John Mellencamp and John Fogerty besides having done session work for a never ending list of musicians, contributed drums.

A portion of the proceeds benefit the Red Sox Foundation, the official team charity of the Boston Red Sox, and its Red Sox Scholars and inner city youth baseball programs. The album will be available exclusively for purchase at the Yawkey Way Store/The Official Red Sox Team Store, as well as at all traditional and digital retailers on May 22nd.
