KISS News: Gene endorses Romney, Band slams Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, CMA Recap, walk down Hollywood Boulevard in full makeup, KISS Alive II Fan Mosaics (video)
Gene Simmons showed up on 'Fox & Friends' has came out and endorsed Mitt Romney for president. Simmons, who supported Barack Obama in 2008, says that he regrets his choice:
"Hindsight is 20/20. I have some real issues with the economy and how it's being done. America should be in business and it should be run by a businessman. Americans, smartly, and I applaud them for doing so, vote on the issues and not the party."
"America is a business. If you can't afford to do something, no matter how much bellyaching everybody does - I'm so sorry, if you can't afford it, you shouldn't do it." That and you want the tax codes to protect your millions upon millions, right Gene? I guess if a rock legend can sway your vote for President, more power to him.

KISS and Fan Mosaics Invite Fans to Celebrate 35 Years of KISS Alive II
Commemorative Photo Mosaic to be Composed Entirely of Fan-Submitted Images
For 35 years KISS fans have reveled in the sounds and images of KISS Alive II. To celebrate the anniversary of this masterful live album, KISS and Fan Mosaics are inviting fans to be part of some of the most recognizable rock images of all time.
“Every KISS fan knows and loves these images of the Demon, the Starchild, the Spaceman, and the Catman,” says KISS co-founder and front man Paul Stanley. “In honor of this big anniversary, we’re giving fans the chance to see these photos in a new way—featuring them in a supporting role.”
Fan Mosaics has combined the larger-than-life images from the KISS Alive II cover into a single picture that will be reproduced as an official collector’s item print.
“It’s more than just an amazing print, though” says Rob Hixenbaugh, Fan Mosaics’ director of fan & brand development. “It’s a mosaic that uses fan-submitted photos as its building blocks. The fans’ images will actually make up the big picture, letting them get inside a major part of KISStory.”
The 24-inch by 30-inch prints make great gifts or unique collectibles for everyone who’s ever dreamed of getting up close and personal with the band. Fans can unleash their inner rock star and upload their photo for inclusion in the officially licensed KISS Alive II Fan Mosaic at www.fanmosaics.com/kiss.
Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser, the 24-year-old Croatian duo known as 2CELLOS, performed their unique version of the Guns N' Roses classic "Welcome To The Jungle" on this past Wednesday's (August 3) edition of "Fox & Friends" on the Fox News channel.
2CELLOS goal is to make the cello cool, and they may make it cooler than any other cello players ever!
Of covering "Welcome To The Jungle", Hauser says: "Covering 'Welcome To The Jungle' was a real challenge but that one we were up for! We chose this song because we thought that it could sound like a whole symphony using only our two cellos. We're really proud of it and think it rocks!"
2CELLOS recently released its self-titled debut album on Sony Masterworks. The CD features Sulic and Hauser's unique spin on hits by Guns N' Roses, U2, Coldplay and Kings Of Leon, among others.
2CELLOS became an overnight Internet sensation with their self-made music video of themselves performing Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal" on their cellos. Within days "Smooth Criminal" racked up over five million views on YouTube, and legend Elton John invited them to join him on his current European tour. 2CELLOS will also join Elton John on North American dates this fall.

Both recently completed their studies — Luka at the acclaimed Royal Academy of Music in London, Stjepan at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. Luka has performed throughout the world at renowned venues such as London's Wigmore Hall, Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, Vienna's Musikverein and Konzerthaus. He has won a series of international prizes including first prize at the 2009 VII Lutoslawski International Cello Competition in Warsaw. Stjepan has performed in numerous European countries, South Africa, New Zealand, Asia and the U.S., with debuts in London's Wigmore Hall, Royal Albert Hall, South Bank Centre and Amsterdam's Concertgebouw.
