Aerosmith singer and American Idol judge Steven Tyler rocked Indianapolis this past Super Bowl weekend with former idol Carrie Underwood on CMT's 'Crossroads.' The two sang together on each others biggest songs and also sat down for some conversation segments, including this one where it seems as if Tyler is getting a little too touchy-feely. Underwood described herself as shy after Tyler said, "Looking sexy is a mindset." Underwood then mentioned how being on stage gives her a temporary self-confidence. "You can be whatever you want to be, and be a little unpredictable. I think that confidence ... that's sexy." Tyler agreed, adding with a touch on her arm, "I don't know how you can sing half the songs you do and not look sexy, anyway, because ... look who you are, girl. Come on." Check it out here.
Steven Tyler will take part in the Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy Camp May 2-6 at the world-famous Playboy Mansion in Holmby Hills, California.
The Aerosmith frontman and American Idol judge is ready to rock with you at Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy Camp. Jam with Tyler and join him onstage at the one and only Playboy Mansion. You'll be able to write and record an original song at a world-class recording studio with Led Zeppelin and The Beatles producer Eddie Kramer, and take home a professionally produced DVD and mp3 of your final performance.
Other rockers participating at the upcoming camp include: Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big, David Lee Roth, Talas), Vinny Appice (Black Sabbath, Dio), Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake, Blue Oyster Cult, AniMetal USA), Phil Soussan (Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Idol) and Howard Leese (Heart, Bad Company), with more to be announced.
Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy Camp was founded by David Fishof in 1997 as the ultimate music experience for the amateur or aficionado, pairing music lovers of all levels together with rock icons for a first-hand immersion in the rock 'n' roll lifestyle. Camp attendees move from spectator to band member, sharing the stage — and limelight — with rock legends for an once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Steven Tyler buys home in Maui, will perform pre-Super Bowl with Carrie Underwood on ‘CMT Crossroads’ and brings another ‘Creepy Leer of the Night’ (video)
Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler and Carrie Underwood will team up for a special episode of "CMT Crossroads" the night before the Super Bowl in Indianapolis, IN. "CMT Crossroads" pairs country music stars with popular artists from other musical genres to play each others songs together, swap stories, and share their common love of music.
Tyler and Underwood previously performed together in 2011 at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas. The duo brought the arena crowd to its feet and wowed millions of viewers at home performing Underwood's No. 1 song "Undo It" followed by Aerosmith's "Walk This Way." Watch the performance below.
"CMT Crossroads: Steven Tyler & Carrie Underwood From the Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam" premieres on CMT on Feb. 4 at 11 p.m. ET/PT. This is the second year "CMT Crossroads" will broadcast from the Super Bowl Fan Jam.
Previous episodes of "Crossroads" have included Def Leppard and Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi and Sugarland, Sting and Vince Gill, The Pretenders and Faith Hill, The Doobie Brothers and Luke Bryan, Train and Martina McBride, John Mayer and Keith Urban, Jimmy Buffet and Zac Brown Band, Bryan Adams and Jason Aldean, 38 Special and Trace Atkins, Lindsey Buckingham and Little Big Town, John Fogerty and Keith Urban, Los Lonely Boys and Ronnie Milsap, Heart and Wynonna, John Mayer and Brad Paisley, Lynyrd Skynryd and Montgomery Gentry, Dave Matthews and Emmylou Harris, Pat Benatar and Martina McBride, John Mellancamp and Kenny Chesney, ZZ Top and Brooks & Dunn and Kid Rock with Hank Williams Jr.
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Steven Tyler has purchased a home in Maui, Hawaii for $4.8 million. It was listed for $6.5 million.
The 3,000-square-foot home, which rests on a quarter acre of land, has two bedrooms and 3½ bathrooms. Located on the water in a nature preserve area near Wailea, the pentagonal home has several outdoor decks overlooking the coastline. There's also a floor-to-ceiling aquarium and an infinity-edge saltwater pool. Can I be your caretaker while you're gone Steve? I'd be glad to do it.
Yes, it's another Steven Tyler 'Creepy Leer of the Night' from American Idol on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' on January 19. In case you've missed them, it's a tradition started last year by Kimmel, and they are hilarious.
KISS News: Crazy, Crazy Nights covered in new Vodka commercial, Gene doesn’t want Karaoke during Super Bowl Halftime Show and gets hacked (video)
The KISS 1987 hit ‘Crazy, Crazy Nights’ is featured in a new commercial for Smirnoff vodka. Commercial artists Big Foote and singer Sun For Moon cover the song in the ad below:
Gene Simmons joins me in not caring for the announcement that Madonna would be playing the Super Bowl halftime show. TMZ caught the Kiss leader in Hollywood earlier this month (Dec. 6) who asked what he thought of the big announcement that will headline the show. “I love all karaoke singers,” he replied, thick with sarcasm. “I love all the girl singers who get up and sing with tapes … shame on you!” He finished by adding: “By the way, Madonna’s terrific … I hate the tapes.”
Gene may not be watching Madonna, but he'll probably watch the Super Bowl at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Feb. 5.
Business Week has reported that Kevin George Poe, an alleged member of the hacker group ‘Anonymous,’ was recently arrested and charged with hacking into Gene Simmons official website. He was taken into custody in Hartford, Ct. and charged with conspiracy and ‘unauthorized impairment of a protected computer.’ He later was released on a $10,000 bond.
Poe, age 24, shut down the website back in October of 2010 with a 'denial of serive attack.' A federal grand jury in Los Angeles returned an indictment that linked Poe with ‘Anonymous.’ If convicted, he faces up to fifteen years in prison.
‘Anonymous’ are a group of hacker-activists, or ‘hacktivsits,’ who have previously launched attacks on various corporate and government websites. Previous targets of the group have included Master Card, Visa, The Church Of Scientology, the Recording Industry Association of America and the Motion Picture Association of America.
Simmons has long been very outspoken on internet music piracy. Last year at a media conference in Cannes, France, Simmons accused the music industry of being “asleep at the wheel." He added that the music industry “didn’t have the balls to go and sue every fresh-faced, freckle-faced college kid who downloaded material, and so now we’re left with hundreds of thousands of people without jobs. There’s no industry. Sue everybody. Take their homes, their cars, don’t let anybody cross that line.”
Just because this is the shit, here's some classic Gene and KISS on The Mike Douglas Show from 1974. Good stuff:
Gotta love The Island of KISS-FIT Toys!
