Lindsey Buckingham/Christine McVie first-ever album due June 21st

Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie have joined together to record their first-ever album as a duo. It's titled 'Lindsey Buckingham/Christine McVie,' the 10-song album will be released June 9th, followed by a run of special U.S. concerts with special guests The Wallflowers beginning June 21st. The first single, 'In My World,' is out now and available on streaming services and as an instant download when you pre-order the album. Another Christine McVie penned track, 'Feel About You,' is available to preview below as well. The songs hark back to the 'Tango In The Night' Fleetwood Mac era sound.

The collaboration began three years ago, when McVie rejoined Fleetwood Mac for the group’s 'On With The Show' tour. The pair went in to record new material prior to rehearsals for the tour and their natural creative chemistry was reignited. According to Buckingham, “We were exploring a creative process, and the identity of the project took on a life organically. The body of work felt like it was meant to be a duet album. We acknowledged that to each other on many occasions, and said to ourselves, ‘what took us so long?!!’”

Working their natural singer songwriter skills together came easily for the duo. Said Christine McVie, “We’ve always written well together, Lindsey and I, and this has just spiraled into something really amazing that we’ve done between us.”

Stone Sour have released a lyric video for "The Uncanny Valley", a track from the band's latest album, "House of Gold & Bones Part 2", the second installment of the group's two-part concept album. Get both if you haven't yet on CD, and make the actual house out of the packaging. The CD, which arrived everywhere this past April, debuted at No. 10 on The Billboard 200, marking the group's fourth consecutive Top 10 debut, an incredible achievement for the three-time Grammy-nominated act.

The first three issues of "House of Gold & Bones" (Dark Horse Comics) are available now. Written by Corey Taylor, the comic book follows and develops the story contained within the two-part album and features stunning covers from Jason Shawn Alexander ("Empty Zone", "Batman", "Abe Sapien"). The limited four-issue series is Taylor's debut in the comics genre.

The "House Of Gold & Bones" albums were recorded at Sound Farm Studios just outside of the band's native Des Moines, Iowa with producer David Bottrill (Tool, Muse).

Buckcherry have released ‘Nothing Left But Tears’ as the new track off their most recent album ‘Confessions.' It's another solid track from a truly underrated American Hard Rock band. Buckcherry have North American tour dates scheduled throughout the summer, followed by a late fall European tour.

Frontman Josh Todd told ABC News Radio recently that Buckcherry’s latest album was originally supposed to serve as the soundtrack for a semi-autobiographical film he was considering making.

“I was writing a screenplay on my own life and I kinda condensed it down into a short film. So really, it wasn’t like a concept record it was like, 'Let’s make the record the soundtrack of the film.'” Todd is preparing to move forward with the 30-minute short in the near future, adding, “We’re working on [the film] right now. We got it casted, the locations, we got a director, you know.”

Guitarist Keith Nelson also revealed that the group has plans to record a live DVD on their current tour. “We just wanna really make sure that it’s something special that we have complete control over,” he explains. “We’ve had stuff that has been on DVD before but certainly not anything we could monitor or have a say in, so this is very exciting for us.”

Release dates for the short film and live DVD have yet to be announced.

Legendary singer-songwriter Stephen Stills (Buffalo Springfield/CSN/CSN&Y) has united with guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Electric Flag keyboardist Barry Goldberg to form the new all-star blues-rock super group The Rides. The band's debut album, 'Can’t Get Enough,', is set for release on August 26 via Provogue Records.

The album features  4 co-written originals, a handful of covers, and a vintage, previously unrecorded Stills gem 'Can’t Get Enough' was inspired by - and is an homage to - the now classic 1968 album Super Session, which featured Stills on guitar on one side, and the late Mike Bloomfield on the other (Bloomfield had founded Electric Flag with Goldberg, who also played on Super Session, as did Blood, Sweat & Tears keyboardist Al Kooper).

The Rides bring a historic and distinctively American musical blues rock hybrid into the 21st century. Described by Stills as "the blues band of my dreams", The Rides will embark on a world tour beginning in September.

The project began with Stills and Goldberg writing together at their mutual manager Elliot Roberts’ recommendation. "It was like finding a long lost soul brother" says Goldberg (who hadn’t met Stills before, their shared 1968 credit notwithstanding). "We connected on so many things, started jamming, and soon had begun writing our first song."

When Kenny Wayne Shepherd arrived, The Rides’ three-way chemistry immediately clicked. "The Rides are a perfect mix of generations, where three musicians who love and play the blues collide and create music that goes beyond all our other individual life experiences and career achievement," says 35-year-old, Shepherd, who’s had six #1 Blues albums. "Stephen and I have rock backgrounds as well, but the blues is the fabric that holds this all together."

That exhilarating creative sorcery blasts through ten tracks, four of them Stills, Shepherd, Goldberg co-writes including the album-opening barnburner "Roadhouse" - about the life of an itinerant bluesman - the melodic, CSN-esque "Don’t Want Lies," and the title track, a groove soaked, guitar-heavy anthem with a soul-baring lead vocal by Stills. Other highlights include a Crazy Horse-calibre interpretation of "Rockin’ in the Free World". "Everyone gets off on this one," says Goldberg, "it’s just a ton of electricity on this Neil Young classic."

The four additional covers are the tracks on which Shepherd sings lead, including "Talk To Me Baby" and "Honey Bee" by blues giants Elmore James and Muddy Waters, respectively, and Iggy and The Stooges’ "Search and Destroy," which The Rides truly make their own. The album closes with the raucous "Word Game," a song Stills wrote during his late ’60s era with Buffalo Springfield, but never recorded. "It’s an old acoustic song that I had fun adapting to an electric band," he says.

The in-the-moment energy and unscripted emotion of "Can’t Get Enough", however, are among the album’s greatest strengths, as is the powerhouse guitar interplay between Stills and Shepherd, and the stellar accompaniment from Goldberg - who, as a teenager in his native Chicago, sat in with Muddy Waters, Otis Rush and Howlin’ Wolf, and went on to play keyboards for Bob Dylan at the Newport Folk Festival, formed The Electric Flag, and composed with Gerry Goffin.

The album was recorded live in the studio over the course of about a week at EastWest in Los Angeles, helmed by long-time Shepherd producer Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads, Modern Lovers). Mostly first or second takes made the album’s final cut. In addition to Chris Layton, Shepherd’s drummer, and also a veteran of Stevie Ray Vaughn’s Double Trouble, the album features bassist Kevin McCormick (CSN, Jackson Browne).

In the spirit of that simple, raw authentic 40s and 50s blues music the three of us love, we got in there and boom! A few takes and we were done," says Stills. "The songs have muscle; they don’t sound dated or contrived. They’re very natural and organic. I can’t wait to tour with these guys and start recording again."

Check out the first single, album samples, and the band's EPK below. The Rides will kick off a U.S. Summer tour on August 28 in New York City.

The Rides Can't Get EnoughThe Rides tour datesCurrent Alice Cooper guitarist Orianthi has released a new video for the track 'Heaven In This Hell,' the title track of her current album, which came out this past March on Robo Records. The Australian guitarists bandmates in Alice Cooper, Glen Sobel (drums) and Tommy Henriksen (guitar) also appear in the new clip.

Leading up to her latest stint with Alice Cooper and reputation as one of the preeminent female guitarist in rock, Orianthi wrote her first song at the age of 6, was discovered and played alongside her idols Carlos Santana and Steve Vai early in her career, and was selected for Michael Jackson's ill-fated "This Is It Tour" that exposed her to mainstream audiences. In the fall of 2009, Orianthi released "According To You", her first solo single, which went platinum in the U.S.

After recently wrapping up the 'Masters Of Madness' tour for Alice with Marilyn Manson, she will continue to tour this Summer with Alice and has also booked a few of her own headlining shows on off-days. Dates confirmed so far are July 17 in New York City at The Studio at Webster Hall, Mexicali Live in Teaneck, New Jersey on July 21,  as well as London's famed 100 Club on August 7. Her band for these shows will include Alice Cooper band members Glen Sobel on drums and bassist Chuck Garric. Rock on girl!!

Fleetwood Mac to release new music before U.S. tour starts in April

Fleetwood Mac to release new music before U.S. tour starts in April

Fleetwood Mac have recently announced their return to the road in 2013, with 34 U.S. dates announced starting in April, and now thankfully. have announced they will also be releasing some new music before the tour.

Stevie Nicks has announced that the band have recorded three songs, including two new tunes, 'Sad Angela' and 'Miss Fantasy.' The third track dates back to the sessions for the 1973 Buckingham Nicks album, which was released prior to the two joining Fleetwood Mac.

Stevie says the tracks should be released digitally in January or February, and stated that "since nobody really cares about albums anymore, if you can come up with two or three great songs and just put them out there...people can at least hear how we sound today."

Nicks added how impressed she is with the sound of the group today and that Fleetwood Mac has never broken up: "It's really wild to me. It blows my mind. Because we've never stopped, our voices and everything...sound extremely young to me because when you keep working, things don't change."

"We didn't break up. We never break up. We just take a break and do our own things, and when it's time [to regroup] everybody's ready." She compares getting together with the band again after its hiatus to "a big, fantastic Halloween party when you haven't been to a Halloween party in three years."

Christine McVie's name always comes up when Fleetwood Mac reconvene, but Nicks says her participation is as likely as “an asteroid hitting the earth. She is done. You know when you look in somebody’s face and you can just tell? She doesn’t want to do it anymore. She doesn’t want to fly. She doesn’t want to come back to America. When she left, she left.”

In separate interviews, Lindsey Buckingham says the rest of the band was geared up for a new album, not just a couple of new tracks, and says the band even went as far as to potentially record eight new songs in an effort to engage Nicks. Buckingham told Rolling Stone he believes his bandmate might have been intimidated by the new material. “I think she was very defensive against the idea of making an album.”

In regards to McVie coming back to the Mac, Buckingham told CBS, “Well, that’s a good question. It’s an odd thing for me, in many ways I’m having a better time in the band as a foursome, only because it opens up a range of things that I can do. Except for maybe 'Don't Stop,' we don’t do a lot of her stuff. It opens up the amount of material we can play, it allows me to be more of a 'guy,' to be more of who I am up there."

Buckingham did add however, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t miss McVie’s contributions to the group. "I would be shocked if she ever expressed any interest to do anything with us. Shocked and pleased. She (McVie) ended up getting a divorce, she ended up selling her house in L.A., she moved back to England, she quit the band, she sold her publishing. She didn’t necessarily have to burn as many bridges as she did,” Buckingham explained. “Everyone sometimes wonders whether or not there might have been more of a middle ground for her to strike, not necessarily in terms of her staying in Fleetwood Mac. But she just wanted to reinvent herself. She seems to want to lead the antithesis of the life she led before, and I don’t pretend to understand such a radical change, but it was obviously something she needed.”

Fleetwood Mac starts rehearsals on Feb. 15, with the 2013 tour kicking off on April 4th in Columbus, Ohio.
