Bobbie Brown, the ‘Cherry Pie’ video girl to release tell-all book, star in new reality series ‘Ex-Wifes Rock’

Bobbie Brown, most famous for her appearance in Warrant's 'Cherry Pie' video, is set to release a 248-page tell-all book in early 2013 via 4th Street Media. After winning a spokemodel competition on 'Star Search,' Bobbie landed on the Sunset Strip, eventually becoming a video vixen, and hooking up with th likes of Tommy Lee, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kevin Costner, Slash, Dave Navarro and more. Here's a description of the book:

"Before American Idol there was Star Search. Before there were sex tapes, there were sexy videos. And before there was Pamela Anderson, there was Bobbie Brown. 'Sex, Drugs, And Cherry Pie' is the outrageous true story of a Louisiana beauty queen who became an L.A. Goddess, and the dozens of celebrity encounters, rock stars, and tumultuous affairs that followed - Tommy Lee, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kevin Costner, Slash, Dave Navarro, and more. In 1989, America tuned in each week to hear Ed McMahon announce Bobbie Brown as their choice as Spokesmodel Champion. She soon landed on the Sunset Strip, and the dream girl seemed to be on her way to a dream life, taking Hollywood by storm as the ultimate video vixen in Warrant's infamous 'Cherry Pie' video. Her future seemed as bright as her smile, but the world of privilege and adoration was filled with demons, drugs, and a downward spiral of self-destruction. In 'Sex, Drugs, and Cherry Pie,' Bobbie takes us on a journey of debauchery, excess, fame, and hair products; detailing how touring the world with music royalty can sometimes lead down a rocky road towards redemption."

Brown has just finished filming a new reality television series titled 'Ex Wives Rock,' which debuts August 29th on the Slice network. The show is co-produced by Loraine Lewis (Femme Fatale) with narration by reality show vet Shannon Tweed-Simmons (Gene Simmons Family Jewels).

'Ex Wives Rock' features Brown, Athena Lee (ex-James Kottak of Scorpions and sister of Tommy Lee), Susan Dixon (ex-Jerry Dixon of Warrant) and Sharise Neil (ex-Vince Neil). During the course of the series, the cast spends time at locations including the Rainbow Bar & Grill on West Hollywood’s Sunset Strip and Brown struggles with the passing of Jani Lane, who died during the filming of one of the episodes.

It’s Motley Crue Day tomorrow in West Hollywood!!

The City of West Hollywood has announced that Thursday, August 18, 2011 will be declared Motley Crue Day in West Hollywood. 2011 Elmer Valentine Award honoree Motley Crue will return to its roots and close the fourth annual Sunset Strip Music Festival (SSMF) on Saturday, August 20. The band will also launch the three-day fest at an August 18 tribute event celebrating its 30-year career.

Part back-patting and part roast, guests and friends such as Dane Cook, Ray Manzarek, David Johansen of the New York Dolls and Neil Strauss (who co-write a book with the band, "The Dirt") will pay homage to Motley Crue at a VIP event at the House of Blues in Hollywood on Thursday night. "I have no idea what they will say, but it's bound to be sometimes serious, sometimes funny and also probably shocking," Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee told the Los Angeles Times.

Each year, West Hollywood's world-famous Sunset Strip celebrates its rich musical history and influence with the Sunset Strip Music Festival, a three-day event that features a variety of artists throughout its venues culminating with an open air street festival on its last day. This year's event takes place Thursday, August 18, Friday, August 19 and Saturday, August 20.

On Saturday, August 20, Sunset Boulevard will be closed to traffic between Doheny Drive and San Vicente Boulevard and will be transformed into a premier concert destination with outdoor stages, beer gardens, a VIP lounge, food trucks, interactive experiences and live performances within the venues during the day until 1-2 a.m.

“So many of us native Angelenos consider Mötley Crüe to be our ‘home boys,’” said West Hollywood Mayor John Duran. “It will be an honor to recognize the ‘Saints of Los Angeles’ in our hometown and thank them for the incredible contribution they made to hard rock, glam and Southern California music,” continued Mayor Duran.

Mötley Crüe is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in the early 1980s. Mötley Crüe vocalist Vince Neil, guitarist Mick Mars, bassist Nikki Sixx and drummer Tommy Lee are one of the most enduring musical ensembles in history. Mötley Crüe has sold more than 80 million album copies worldwide. Mötley Crüe got their start on The Sunset Strip, as they performed many nights at the Whisky A Go-Go and The Roxy Theatre. The band also filmed their 'Kickstart My Heart' video at the Whisky and for a while lived just up the street from the venue on Clark Street, making The Sunset Strip their official home.

This marks the fourth installment of the award ceremony and the Sunset Strip Music Festival, which celebrates the music and icons that have made an impact on the legacy of The Strip. The event debuted in 2008 with the recognition of Lou Adler, Mario Maglieri and Elmer Valentine, founders of cornerstone Sunset Strip venues The Roxy Theatre, Rainbow Bar & Grill and Whisky A Go-Go. In 2009, Ozzy Osbourne received the Elmer Valentine Award, which was thusly named after the passing of original honoree Valentine. 2009 also marked the first closure of Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood for a music event, with Ozzy Osbourne, Korn and others performing outdoors at the street festival. The 2010 award went to Slash, who also headlined the SSMF’s outdoor stage along with The Smashing Pumpkins. Check out all the info here
