Graham Bonnet announces new four piece Graham Bonnet Band

Legendary vocalist Graham Bonnet (Rainbow, MSG, Alcatrazz, Impellitteri) has unveiled his new group, the Graham Bonnet Band.

The Graham Bonnet Band is a four-piece hard rock outfit that also features guitarist extraordinaire Conrado Pesinato and bassist Beth-Ami Heavenstone. The band will be playing songs spanning Bonnet's illustrious career, along with new compositions from the band’s forthcoming, as yet untitled, studio album.

Bonnet says, ''It has been a while since I last released a full length album, but this band is the perfect group of musicians to do just that. We also are planning on getting out there and performing live all over the world in 2015 and beyond. I am looking forward to seeing all my fans, and with the Graham Bonnet Band we will be playing the songs you all want to hear the way you know them, plus some of the new material we are currently working on, which fits in very well with the classic tracks!''

Bonnet also plans to release a collection of previously unreleased music from his personal archive of material from the 1970’s, entitled 'Private I, The Archives: Vol. One,' with more information to be announced soon.

Rated X featuring Joe Lynn Turner, Carmine Appice, Tony Franklin and Karl Cochran set to release new album

Rated X featuring Joe Lynn Turner, Carmine Appice, Tony Franklin and Karl Cochran set to release new album

The new Supergroup Rated X have finished recording their upcoming album, which is set for release this November. The band features the one and only Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow, Deep Purple, Yngwie Malmsteen) on vocals, Karl Cochran (Ace Frehley) on guitar and the reunion of the famed and beloved rhythm section of Blue Murder, bassist Tony Franklin (The Firm, Blue Murder, Whitesnake) and drummer Carmine Appice (Vanilla Fudge, Rod Stewart, Ozzy Osbourne, Blue Murder, King Kobra).

RATED-X came about when Frontiers Records’ President Serafino Perugino suggested to Turner that it was time to put together a band that could highlight his abilities in the classic hard rock musical setting.

Appice was the first one who was called in to be part of it, given the long history of friendship and musical camaraderie with Turner. After a quick search, Tony Franklin soon agreed to be part of the band – thus reuniting the rhythm section that was featured on the legendary debut album by Blue Murder. The last step was to find the right guitarist and who could be better than long time Joe Lynn Turner collaborator, Karl Cochran: a flamboyant guitar player that can masterfully handle the Arena Rock style, with a Classic Hard Rock sensibility second to none.

Under the executive direction of Perugino and the watchful eye of Frontiers in-house producer Alessandro Del Vecchio (Hardline, Livin’ Out Loud, Voodoo Circle), demos were laid down during the last months of 2013.

The band's self-titled debut album will be released November 7th in EU, November 11th in U.S. Pre-order on Amazon.com here: http://geni.us/RatedXAMZ

In a side note, let's hope this project lasts, since Joe Lynn Turner was asked by Greece's 'Rock Overdose' 17 years after RAINBOW played its last concert in Esbjerg, Denmark, if he could share any news about the possibility of a reformation of the Ritchie Blackmore-led band that existed from from 1975 to 1984 and 1993 to 1997. "Well, I'm gonna be honest with you right now. Yes. Possibly. It's very possible," Turner, who fronted RAINBOW from 1980 to 1984, said. "Last year, I wouldn't say it. But this year I say it. It's possible. It's a very big possibility that something might, just might, happen. I heard talk of it and all I can say is I'm not supposed to talk about it, but I'm talking to you now, and all I want you to do is say yes. There's a very big possibility that we may have a reunion. And it would be phenomenal."

Joe Lynn Turner, Jeff Watson, Tony Franklin and Carmine Appice join forces in Rated X

An interesting supergroup featuring vocalist Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow, Deep Purple, Yngwie Malmsteen), drummer Carmine Appice (Beck, Bogert & Appice, Vanilla Fudge, Cactus, King Kobra, Blue Murder, MSG, Mothers's Army), bassist Tony Franklin (The Firm, Blue Murder, Kenny Wayne Sheppherd) and guitarist Jeff Watson (Night Ranger, Mother's Army), are about finished with their debut album on Frontiers Records.

The band is called Rated X (formerly Legacy X) with the album due for a May release. Jeff Watson joined RATED X after Bruce Kulick (KISS, Grand Funk Railroad) was unable to commit to the project because of his heavy touring schedule with Grand Funk Railroad. Joe Lynn Turner, Carmine Appice and Jeff Watson all previously played together in 1990's band Mother's Army, which released three albums before splitting up in 1998.
