Aerosmith/Slash ‘Let Rock Rule’ Summer tour dates announced, watch full set from The Whisky a Go Go

Aerosmith and Slash kicked off their North America summer tour announcement yesterday by rocking the Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles for a six-song set that you can watch below. December 4, 1973 was the last time that Aerosmith graced the stage of the Whiskey until yesterday. Aerosmith also made separate appearance on 'Ellen' and with Ryan Seacrest on his radio show yesterday mroning in regards to the announcement.

Aerosmith took the stage at The Whisky after an intro by "Uncle Joe" Benson  of 100.3 FM The Sound without guitarist Brad Whitford, who couldn't attend due to his finshing up the 'Experience Hendrix' tour. Steven Tyler then announced: "Ladies and genitals! Welcome to the Whiskey! You love this band almost as much as I do?"

Aerosmith rocked through "Draw The Line," "Same Old Song and Dance," "Pink" and "Walk This Way." Tyler brought out Slash for the final two songs alongside Perry, bassist Tom Hamilton and drummer Joey Kramer. "We’re going to bring up a friend of ours who is going to be playing on this tour. The one and only Slash!" Tyler announced to the appreciative crowd. Tyler then licked his finger, swirled it over his "Ma Kin" arm tattoo, and belted out the opening verse to "Mama Kin."

Joe Perry told the crowd at the tail end of the show: "The first time we played here was December 3, 1973. It was the first time formally here but also the first time in California. The first time west of the Mississippi was right here! That was then and this is now. And look what happened," he said as he pointed to Slash before shouting "Let’s rock!" The set then wrapped with an impressive version of 'Train Kept A Rollin.' I'm assuming we can look forward to more collaborations between Aerosmith and Slash on the tour.

"Bring it baby. Bring it! Rock and roll is forever! Come on!" Tyler shouted as he and his Aerosmith bandmates exited the stage.

Set List:
Draw The Line
Same Old Song And Dance
Pink
Walk This Way

Featuring Slash:
Mama Kin
Train Kept a Rollin’

All-star band Kings Of Chaos to play one-off U.S. benefit show

All-star band Kings Of Chaos to play one-off U.S. benefit show

The all-star band that many have waited to make their U.S. debut, Kings Of Chaos, will finally do so on November 18 at Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles, California. The event is a benefit for Ric O'Barry's Dolphin Project, an international organization dedicated to restoring freedom for all captive dolphins and whales. The amzig lineup of musicians that are part of the touring band include Glenn Hughes (Black Country Communion, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Trapeze), former Guns N' Roses members Matt Sorum, Slash and Duff McKagan, Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour) and Steve Stevens (Billy Idol, Atomic Playboys)

Kings Of Chaos perform the greatest hits of the members careers. The one-night-only benefit concert event, billed as “Tokyo Celebrates The Dolphin,” will be the group’s only North American performance in 2013.

“This is a rehearsal for the BIG one. We plan on taking ‘Tokyo Celebrates the Dolphin’ to Japan,” says Ric O’Barry, whose life and work was featured in the Academy Award-winning film The Cove. “We’ll add a few Japanese friends to our lineup and rock the socks off Tokyo. There isn’t a better way to bring Westerners and Japanese people together than rock and roll and the world should also know about the wonderful relationship between Japanese people and dolphins in the Tokyo Islands,” added O'Barry. “Dolphins are respected and protected in this part of Japan. It's the opposite of Taiji, but very few people know about it. ‘Tokyo Celebrates the Dolphin’ will hopefully change this by bringing positive, international media attention to what is right about Japan.”

"I'm thrilled to bring a bunch of superstars together for a fun night with fans," adds Matt Sorum, who has also played with Velvet Revolver. "The main thing is to keep creating awareness for the Dolphin Project and everyone involved."

The album's third single, "Anastasia", has cracked the Top 10 at Modern and Active Rock and Top 5 at Mainsteam Rock. The album was produced by Eric Valentine, who did the same honors for Slash's first, self-titled solo disc, and all the songs on "Apocalyptic Love" were written together by Slash and Myles Kennedy.

This fall, Slash will release "Nothing Left To Fear", the first-ever motion picture he has co-produced from Slasher Films, the Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer's production company. "Nothing Left To Fear" will have a limited release in select theaters nationwide on Friday, October 4 and arrive on Blu-ray Combo-Pack, DVD, and On Demand Tuesday, October 8. Slash to release soundtrack album for his first-ever upcoming movie, ‘Nothing Left To Fear’ (video)

SLASH, the Grammy-winning guitarist, will release the soundtrack album for the first-ever motion picture he has co-produced, Nothing Left To Fear, on October 4, the same day the film opens in select theaters. The Nothing Left To Fear Original Motion Picture Soundtrack was written and produced by SLASH and Nick O’Toole. It includes the film score plus two original songs: “Nothing Left To Fear” which features vocalist Myles Kennedy and the instrumental “Welcome To Stull".

The album will be released exclusively at PledgeMusic.com/slash , giving fans access to interviews, song streams, first looks at film art, clips and more. When fans pledge and pre-order the album, they will gain access to one-of-a-kind experiences with SLASH, as well as merchandise for the film. For more information on all packages available, click PledgeMusic.com/slash.

Slash stated, "It's been equally intriguing for me to be involved with producing, writing and performing the music in Nothing Left To Fear. Film scoring prompts me to engage different styles of writing and guitar playing that don't always present themselves when I make Rock n Roll records."

Due in select theaters Friday, October 4 and available on Blu-ray Combo-pack, DVD and On Demand starting Tuesday, October 8. Nothing Left To Fear is a harrowing tale in the spirit of the terrifying horror films of the 1970s. The movie is inspired by the legend of Stull, Kansas, which is surrounded by Internet folklore proclaiming the town to be one of the Seven Gateways to Hell. Wendy (Anne Heche), her husband Dan (James Tupper of Revenge) and their kids have just moved to the small town of Stull, Kansas, where Dan is the new pastor. But in this sleepy community of friendly neighbors, a horrific series of occurrences awaits them: Their teenage daughter (Rebekah Brandes of Bellflower) is being tormented by grisly visions. Her younger sister (Jennifer Stone of Wizards Of Waverly Place) has been marked for a depraved ritual. And deep within the heartland darkness, one of The Seven Gates Of Hell demands the blood of the innocent to unleash the creatures of the damned. Ethan Peck (10 Things I Hate About You) and Clancy Brown (The Shawshank Redemption) co-star in this demonic shocker featuring original music by producer SLASH and inspired by the real-life paranormal legacy of Stull. Nothing Left To Fear is the first film from Rock and Roll Hall of Famer SLASH’s production company, Slasher Films, and was written by Jonathon W.C. Mills and directed by Anthony Leonardi III.

"As a long-time fan of the Horror genre, I want to produce films that are in an older tradition of the genre,” relates SLASH. “That is to say, films that leave more to one's imagination, that are psychologically scary and character-driven, and what scares you is more cerebral than superficial. Slasher Films is my vehicle to realize that aim, and Nothing Left To Fear is the first film with more to come."
