Bon Jovi News: JBJ makes AARP ’21 Sexiest Men over 50, band prepping new album, Bongiovi Pasta Sauces available
AARP, the American Association of Retired Persons have named the "21 Sexiest Men over 50," and Jon Bon Jovi is one of the lucky men to make it. Jon turned 50 in March, and besides his good looks, the AARP's magazine also praises him for his smarts.
Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland, who sang with Jon on the song "Who Says You Can't Go Home," told the magazine, "It's actually Jon's brain that makes him sexy." Jon also gets props for being appointed by President Obama to the White House Council for Community Solutions.
Bon Jovi are working on new material and Richie Sambora recently told Rolling Stone magazine, "We're in the studio and it sounds great." He adds, "Jon [Bon Jovi] and I...came up with a lot of great tracks and we started laying down basics a couple of weeks back." Richie says fans will be able to hear the results in "early 2013."
Richie, who's back together with Denise Richards, is working on his first solo album in 14 years, which is due out later this summer. He tells Rolling Stone that the disc, which is self-titled, will surprise people. "I think [people] don't see me as a singer, and I was the lead singer in every band I was in before Bon Jovi. I hope I get to change people's minds on this record. That's what I'm gonna try to do," he says.
Richie describes the album as "organic," and says it features a lot of "jamming." It's coming out on an independent label, and he says, "We really had a good time making the music. I think that‘s what attracted me to the whole indie thing: I could make the music the way I wanted."
Jon Bon Jovi's late papa has inspired a new line of Bongiovi Pasta Sauces. John Bongiovi died in 2007 from cancer, but you can now savor the family recipe of The Worlds Best Pasta Sauces. They're available online at www.BongioviBrand.com - Order some today!
PASSED DOWN THREE GENERATIONS, the Bongiovi family recipe originated in the town of Sciacca, Sicily in the late 1800s. When Great Grandma Bongiovi would prepare the sauce, she made enough to feed the neighborhood. This tradition was passed to her son, which was then passed to his son and then passed again to his three sons in America. This recipe along with the process has always been a close kept secret of the Bongiovi family. In recent years while feeding everyone from our friends, neighbors and even celebrities, there was one constant we heard over and over, “you need to bottle this sauce,” as if there was something magic about it. Maybe it was the smell of the sautéed onions and garlic while the large pot simmered...maybe it was simply the idea of a dish that brought us all together.
The idea of a jarred sauce was unheard of in our house. We would always say that you could never get the homemade taste in a Jar. Our secret to the homemade taste is making small batches with the highest quality ingredients available. After numerous attempts, we have been able to master the process that allows us to bring a true homemade taste from the jar to your table. We hope you enjoy the flavors of home, the Bongiovi home.

Located on the water in a nature preserve area near Wailea, the pentagonal home has several outdoor decks overlooking the coastline. There's also a floor-to-ceiling aquarium and an infinity-edge saltwater pool. Can I be your caretaker while you're gone Steve? I'd be glad to do it.
Yes, it's another Steven Tyler 'Creepy Leer of the Night' from American Idol on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' on January 19. In case you've missed them, it's a tradition started last year by Kimmel, and they are hilarious.
It's been reported that at least three people were killed and more than 70 were injured when stage equipment, towers, a tent and a tree collapsed earlier today after a wind and hail storm hit the Pukkelpop festival in Hasselt, Belgium. The festival was halted, with as many as 60,000 attendees having left the mud-filled grounds, according to the Associated Press.
Chokri Mahassine, the organizer of the festival, told reporters "we have for now put the festival on hold until we understand the situation completely."
Foo Fighters, Thirty Seconds To Mars, The Offspring, Deftones, Bullet For My Valentine, Suicidal Tendencies and Apocalyptica and are some of the artists who were scheduled to perform at this year's edition of Pukkelpop, an annual festival which was launched in 1985.
You can add another concert staging tragedy to other recent stage collapses. Last weekend, a stage collapsed at the Indiana State Fair and sent steel scaffolding into the crowd below, killing five people and injuring dozens more at a Sugarland concert. On July 17, Cheap Trick barely avoided being crushed when the stage at the Ottawa Bluesfest collapsed during a storm. A few were injured, but no one was killed.
Here's some news and concert goer footage. Looks pretty intense and not a safe situation. Prayers and positivity go out to the families of the deceased and all the best to the injured.
