Kill Devil Hill have been in the studio recording their next album with producer Jeff Pilson (bassist for T&N, Foreigner, War & Peace, ex-Dokken, Dio). Kill Devil Hill includes drummer Vinny Appice (Dio, Black Sabbath, Heaven & Hell), bassist Rex Brown (Pantera, Down), guitarist Mark Zavon (Ratt, W.A.S.P.) and vocalist Jason "Dewey" Bragg (Pissing Razors). Appice has described Kill Devil Hill's sound as "like a cross between Black Sabbath, Alice In Chains and a little bit of Led Zeppelin thrown in. It's heavy, but with a lot of cool hooks and melodic overtones, too."
Kill Devil Hill have previously said about their songwriting and recording approach, "We are going old school meets new; no sample drums here!!"

T&N, the band consisting of current and former classic-era Dokken members (George Lynch, Jeff Pilson and Mick Brown), will release their first album sometime in September. Lynch told Guitar International: “The record, Slave To The Empire, is being mixed as we speak. We actually did two records. The first one, which will be released in September, and then the band will go out on the road at the beginning of October.
"We’ll do a short West Coast tour, then play Loud Park festival in Japan as well as visit a few other Asian cities before heading to Europe for a couple weeks. Then it’s back to the States and we will finish up before Christmas.”
The band is rounded out by one of the best rock drummers in the biz, Brian Tichy.
In April Pilson was asked by KNAC.com if T&N is Dokken without Don, the bassist replied, "I think I've explained that. Don't think of this as Dokken without Don... that's misleading. Think of it as a band with great chemistry coming up with new music that excites them, and also paying tribute to Dokken - music which the members all are heavily invested in emotionally."
Tooth and Nail were forced to change their name to T&N because of legal reasons. The band stated, "We cannot keep [the name] as Tooth And Nail as there is a label that has it trademarked. [Fans] can still call us To$%h And Na$l... We can't."
T&N with George Lynch, Jeff Pilson and Mick Brown release promo video, appear on latest episode of ‘That Metal Show’
The new band featuring former and current Dokken members George Lynch, Jeff Pilson and Mick Brown will have released a new promo video previwing the new 'T & N' new album. The new album came together from original collaborations between Pilson and Lynch for a Lynch Mob record, but morphed into this new project.
Drummer Brian Tichy (who is also part of the project) suggested they take the original stuff and put it together with re-recordings of Dokken classics with guest vocalist. T&N will feature Sebastian Bach, Ripper Owens (Judas Priest, Iced Earth, Dio Disciples) Dug Pinnick (King's X), Sass Jordan (S.U.N.) and more.
The first T & N record will be followed by a second album 'T&N II'. As previously reported Tooth and Nail were forced to change their name to T&N because of legal reasons.
The band stated, "We cannot keep [the name] as Tooth And Nail as there is a label that has it trademarked. [Fans] can still call us To$%h And Na$l...We can't." T&N's debut album is expected later in the year.
