Ozzy’s “Crazy Train” chosen as campaign theme for Charlie Sheen Roast on Comedy Central (video)

Ozzy Osbourne‘s "Crazy Train" is being featured in the promotional campaign for Comedy Central’s upcoming roast of the "winning" Charlie Sheen. Sheen, Mr. tiger blood and Adonis DNA, is appearing in a handful of TV spots promoting the roast. In one particular commercial, the self-styled “Sheenius” plays a conductor of what else but a crazy train! Check out the promos below.
In the 30-second spot, which is steeped in Sheen-speak, the actor is running the Roast Express, which makes stops at Sheen-friendly locations like Goddess Harbor, Winnington, Tiger Valley and Dude Can’t Handle It Unplug this Bastard Junction.
A hot chick asks “Charlie, does this train stop at Normalville?,” to which Sheen replies, “Honey, we left there a long time ago.” Ain’t that the truth! This is one train that’s going off the rails and happily so. It’s also quite possibly one of the most effective uses of a popular Ozzy song in some time.
The Charlie Sheen Roast is set for Sept. 19. One thing that could make the Sheen roast even more entertaining? If Ozzy himself showed up to verbally burn the actor. Regardless, this potentially could be the best roast ever!
On Sept. 15, four days before the roast, Comedy Central will partner with a handful of Clear Channel radio stations in major markets to have Charlie Sheen pre-record introductions of the song "Crazy Train" during key afternoon drive-time music blocks to drive day-of awareness for the roast. On Roast Day, Sept. 19, commuters in New York City will see train tracks on the cover of that day's free morning daily, AM New York, that will lead through to two more pages of train tracks running across editorial, ultimately revealing an ad for that night's event. And guess what song will be playing when the copies of AM New York are handed out?
Charlie Sheen has battled some of cinema’s greatest villains (and Tom Berenger), but he’s never faced anything like the murderer’s row of zing slingers lined up for this roast including Jeff Ross, Anthony Jeselnik, TMZ’s Harvey Levin, Steve-o, Mike Tyson and Roast Master Seth MacFarlane.
