Ozzy Osbourne signed copies of his new book, "Trust Me, I'm Dr. Ozzy: Advice From Rock's Ultimate Survivor" on October 11 at Barnes & Noble in Huntington Beach, California and on October 14 at the Barnes & Noble in Riverside, California. Fan-filmed video footage from the event can be seen below.
Jeanne Ferrara, community relations manager at Barnes & Noble, told AOL's Noisecreep, "It was a pleasure to welcome Ozzy Osbourne back to Barnes & Noble Huntington Beach. As Ozzy approached the event area, the excitement level increased to maximum levels and customers were chanting 'Ozzy, Ozzy, Ozzy.' It seemed at times, the atmosphere was more like a rock concert rather than a book signing. Families with several generations in attendance approached the signing table with tears in their eyes because they were so excited to meet him — many were fulfilling a dream. All ages attended the event — from great-grandparents to babies. Ozzy took extra time with children and those with special needs ensuring they received additional attention. Some customers camped out in front of the store starting at 3 a.m. to obtain their wristband for their place in the signing line."
Ozzy has taken "Dr. Ozzy's Seven-Day Guide To Better Living" to Facebook and Twitter. The weeklong series of free advice and helpful hints has a couple of days left, with followers being treated to words of wisdom from the book.

Rock On the Talks Roundup: Evanescence, Ozzy Osbourne and Chris Cornell
by craig on Oct.15, 2011, under INTERVIEWS, ROCK NEWS, TV ROCK NEWS, VIDEO
Here's the appearances of Rockers from this past week on the talks shows, either sitting down for an interview or performing. Ozzy was out promoting his new book "Trust Me, I'm Dr. Ozzy" on a couple of shows, and Evanescence and Chris Cornell performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Evanescence performed on Thursday night's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live (Oct. 13) and played "What You Want," the first single from their new album, "Evanescence". They also performed "Going Under" as a web only performance on jimmykimmel.com:
Chris Cornell of Soundgarden performed his great new solo track "The Keeper" from the "Machine Gun Preacher" soundtrack on Jimmy Kimmel Live Wednesday night (Oct. 12)
Ozzy, Sharon and Jack Osbourne sat down for the full hour on CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight" (Oct. 11) to discuss "The Osbourne's" MTV show, getting sober, the incident where Ozzy nearly killed Sharon, and more. Jack Osbourne also that he and his fiancée Lisa Stelly are expecting their first child.
"I'm excited. I'm a little nervous." Jack said. Ozzy reportedly jumped for joy and hearing the news, saying "I'm shocked. I think it's fabulous." Sharon said, "I'm happy because it's what Jack wants so I'm happy, and I've always wanted to be a grandma so it couldn't be better." Ozzy already has four grandchildren; two each from daughter Jessica and son Louis from his previous marriage to Thelma Riley.
Video footage (Oct. 12) of Ozzy Osbourne's wife/manager Sharon Osbourne announcing on her CBS daytime talk show "The Talk" that she will become a first-time grandmother next April can be seen below.
Ozzy also appeared on NBC's The Today Show on the morning of October 12th. The interview was conducted by former President George W. Bush's daughter, Jenna Bush Hager:
Ozzy Osbourne says Black Sabbath reunion is a “very, very strong possibility”
by craig on Oct.10, 2011, under ROCK NEWS
From Billboard.com: Speculation surrounding a Black Sabbath reunion including Ozzy Osbourne arose in August, when the Birmingham Mail reported that Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi said the original lineup was writing new material together. Iommi then back-tracked on his official website, expressing disappointment that his statements-reportedly told in confidence-were disclosed. But he never actually denied the claims Sabbath were collaborating in some capacity.
Speaking with Billboard.com regarding his upcoming second book, Trust Me, I'm Dr. Ozzy, Osbourne also touched on the swirling Sabbath reunion rumors. "Yes, it's a very, very strong possibility," he says of getting the old band back together. "It's in the very early stages, so we haven't recorded anything yet. If it works out, it'll work out. If it doesn't, I'll keep doing my thing."
Osbourne's founding group may be taking it slow, but it doesn't mean the Bark At the Moon singer is. His Dr. Ozzy book, based on his health and sex advice columns of the same name in Rolling Stone and the UK's Sunday Magazine, will be released on Tuesday (Oct. 11), with a book tour to follow. "I'm not trying to be the next f**king Dr. Phil," he says of his Dr. Ozzy persona, which he views as mostly common sense from a formerly hard-living rocker who's been pronounced dead -- twice.
Osbourne's outspoken wife Sharon has been keeping quite busy as well, specifically with TV endeavors including her America's Got Talent judging spot and a return to CBS talk show The Talk on October 6th following a brief health-related absence. The Osbourne clan knows its way around TV cameras, but would Ozzy ever return to the reality show world that escalated his family to celebrity status? "Sharon loves TV and I don't have any problem with that, but I just don't like doing it," he says. "It's alright doing an ad or a quick spot for the camera, but I just don't like doing the TV shows."
Osbourne remains supportive of his multi-facted other half, and colors himself something of a feminist. "I think the person who said women are the weaker sex is a f**king idiot," he says. "I cannot accept the fact that women are the weaker sex. I remember my wife giving birth to one of our kids, and then she was right back on the phone fighting [Sharon is Ozzy's longtime manager]. I'm like, 'Are you kidding?'"
