A new reality show 'Ex-Wives Of Rock' chronicling the highs and lows of the lives of four women who have led the sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll life... and have survived to reinvent themselves premiered on August 31rd on the Canadian network Slice. The show follows video vixen Susan Dixon (ex-wife of Warrant bassist Jerry Dixon), Cherry Pie rock goddess Bobbie Brown (ex-wife of Warrant frontman Jani Lane), drummer and Tommy Lee’s sister, Athena Lee (ex-wife of Scorpions drummer James Kottak) and Sharise Neil (ex-wife of Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil).
'Ex-Wives of Rock' is co-produced by the former Femme Fatale frontwoman Lorraine Lewis and narrated by Shannon Tweed (wife of Kiss bassist Gene Simmons).
Throughout each episode, you will see all sides of the four ex-wives: the good, the bad and the ugly. You’ll witness family drama, messed up love lives and friendships crash and burn. We’ll see the glamorous red carpet events, the seedy rock clubs, the fabulous hotel lunches and the quiet dinners at home.
Being 'hair band groupies' is far in the past for these now late-thirties, early-forties ladies; but that doesn’t mean their rock ‘n’ roll days are over. Their journey begins where one life has ended and another one has just begun. They are Mothers. Business Owners. Partiers. And ladies of the L.A. lifestyle.
Meet each of the ladies and get a preview clip of the latest episode below:
The brand new song from Motley Crue, is available for free download for 24 hours only at Motley.com. So get on it! "Sex" is the first studio track from the band since 'Saints Of Los Angeles' in 2008. The song was recorded at drummer Tommy Lee's studio called The Atrium in Calabasas, California.
Motley Crue singer Vince Neil has taken flight training classes with the possibility of receiving a pilot’s license. While that may not be the greatest idea considering his history in automobiles, he apparently has found a way to make a buck out of it, or at least get the training for free as it will be part of a TV show called 'The Aviators.' Vince will appear in the series’ third season, which premieres this fall on PBS. Check out pics from his training here: www.facebook.com
Black Label Society guitarist Zakk Wylde and his wife, Barbaranne, welcomed on their fourth child, a son named Sabbath Page Wielandt Wylde, on Wednesday, July 4th. Sabbath joins older siblings Hayley Rae, Hendrix and Jesse. Check out the beautiful baby photos below.
"VALHALLA JAVA ALMIGHTY BLACK LABEL!!! SABBATH PAGE WIELANDT WYLDE Has Come to Join The Mother Chapter!!!!" Wylde tweeted at the time. The infant, who is named after Black Sabbath, Jimmy Page and Wylde's father Jerome Wielandt, a World War II veteran. Hendrix's godfather is former L.A. Dodger/New York Met/metal fan Mike Piazza, while Jesse's is Zakk's former boss Ozzy Osbourne. We're waiting to see who will end up as little Sabb's godfather.
Zakk will have to break away from baby Sabbath to take part in the Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy Camp this October 10-14 in Las Vegas. The camp continues to become a bigger attraction every year, not just for the fans and those willing to shell out for the experience, but for those in the industry willing to serve as instructors.
The annual event, now in its 15th year, will take place at the MGM Grand with KISS’ Gene Simmons, Vince Neil of Motley Crue, Sebastian Bach and Zakk as guest star performers. Rock star counselors include Lita Ford, Rudy Sarzo, Kip Winger, Phil Soussan, Kip Winger, Richie Kotzen, Kane Roberts, John Moyer and more. Get all the info here: www.rockcamp.com
Although stating that Pantera should leave the 14 years they had together untouched by a partial reunion, drummer Vinnie Paul recently said that if the band were to come together once again, Zakk Wylde would be the only man who can fill the spot of "Dimebag" Darrell. "I mean, [Zakk] and my brother were so tight. If [a Pantera reunion] ever were to happen, [Zakk] would be the guy [to step in for Dimebag]."
Pantera frontman Phil Anselmo responded to Vinnie Paul’s comments. "That is an interesting question, if anything like that would ever possibly happen. Vince and I would have to sit in the same room, hash out whatever differences that we have, and as far as Zakk Wylde goes, I am not too sold on that ’cause we have to hash some crap out too. That day has not come yet, and until that day comes, I can comment further on that, but till then it is just talk. It would be rough not to see Dimebag on stage to my left, I would feel naked."
Don't hold your breath on that Pantera/Zakk union happening, as Phil and his band Down have just announced an upcoming tour.
Zakk is also launching the BLS male lingerie line, believe it or not, with a report below. Look out for the release of 'Unblackened,' an acoustic-based DVD which is also set to drop later this year.
Bobbie Brown, the ‘Cherry Pie’ video girl to release tell-all book, star in new reality series ‘Ex-Wifes Rock’
Bobbie Brown, most famous for her appearance in Warrant's 'Cherry Pie' video, is set to release a 248-page tell-all book in early 2013 via 4th Street Media. After winning a spokemodel competition on 'Star Search,' Bobbie landed on the Sunset Strip, eventually becoming a video vixen, and hooking up with th likes of Tommy Lee, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kevin Costner, Slash, Dave Navarro and more. Here's a description of the book:
"Before American Idol there was Star Search. Before there were sex tapes, there were sexy videos. And before there was Pamela Anderson, there was Bobbie Brown. 'Sex, Drugs, And Cherry Pie' is the outrageous true story of a Louisiana beauty queen who became an L.A. Goddess, and the dozens of celebrity encounters, rock stars, and tumultuous affairs that followed - Tommy Lee, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kevin Costner, Slash, Dave Navarro, and more. In 1989, America tuned in each week to hear Ed McMahon announce Bobbie Brown as their choice as Spokesmodel Champion. She soon landed on the Sunset Strip, and the dream girl seemed to be on her way to a dream life, taking Hollywood by storm as the ultimate video vixen in Warrant's infamous 'Cherry Pie' video. Her future seemed as bright as her smile, but the world of privilege and adoration was filled with demons, drugs, and a downward spiral of self-destruction. In 'Sex, Drugs, and Cherry Pie,' Bobbie takes us on a journey of debauchery, excess, fame, and hair products; detailing how touring the world with music royalty can sometimes lead down a rocky road towards redemption."
Brown has just finished filming a new reality television series titled 'Ex Wives Rock,' which debuts August 29th on the Slice network. The show is co-produced by Loraine Lewis (Femme Fatale) with narration by reality show vet Shannon Tweed-Simmons (Gene Simmons Family Jewels).
'Ex Wives Rock' features Brown, Athena Lee (ex-James Kottak of Scorpions and sister of Tommy Lee), Susan Dixon (ex-Jerry Dixon of Warrant) and Sharise Neil (ex-Vince Neil). During the course of the series, the cast spends time at locations including the Rainbow Bar & Grill on West Hollywood’s Sunset Strip and Brown struggles with the passing of Jani Lane, who died during the filming of one of the episodes.
