Produced by Fogerty, one of rock’s most important artists and a national treasure who’s sold over 100 million records, 'Wrote A Song For Everyone' is a celebration of his iconic songbook and a collection of 12 classics and deep tracks from his remarkable canon of hits as well as two brand new songs, "Mystic Highway" and "Train of Fools." Fogerty performed alongside an array of today’s biggest superstars from the country, pop and rock worlds including Foo Fighters, Bob Seger, Keith Urban, Jennifer Hudson, Kid Rock, Brad Paisley, the Zac Brown Band, My Morning Jacket, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert and more. The album also sees Fogerty teaming with an acclaimed new band like Dawes, who were eager to acknowledge the groundbreaking songwriter/guitarist’s titanic influence. Fogerty also recorded his classic “Lodi” with his sons Shane and Tyler Fogerty at Abbey Road Studios in London.
As Fogerty explains in a cover story in the current (January/February) “Legends” issue of American Songwriter: “I encouraged each of these artists to come up with their own vision of my song, rather than just redoing what I’d recorded in the past. I was hoping they’d have some different twist so it would be fresh, so I’d have to work, too. I wanted it to be something new.”
'Wrote A Song For Everyone' marks Fogerty's ninth studio solo album since disbanding Creedence Clearwater Revival. Mixed by Bob Clearmountain, it was recorded in Los Angeles and Nashville except for "Proud Mary" which was recorded in New Orleans with AllenToussaint and the Rebirth Brass Band. Fogerty recorded “Fortunate Son” with Foo Fighters at their 606 studio using "the" legendary Neve recording console featured in the #1 iTunes documentary Sound City. Fogerty has performed with the Sound City Players, the all-star band assembled by Dave Grohl to play the music created for the film and other classics, at recent shows at both the Sundance Film Festival and the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.
John Fogerty will tour in 2013 and look for him to be at this year’s SXSW in Austin (dates/events TBA).

The 3,000-square-foot home, which rests on a quarter acre of land, has two bedrooms and 3½ bathrooms. Located on the water in a nature preserve area near Wailea, the pentagonal home has several outdoor decks overlooking the coastline. There's also a floor-to-ceiling aquarium and an infinity-edge saltwater pool. Can I be your caretaker while you're gone Steve? I'd be glad to do it.
Yes, it's another Steven Tyler 'Creepy Leer of the Night' from American Idol on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' on January 19. In case you've missed them, it's a tradition started last year by Kimmel, and they are hilarious.

Sting will be celebrating his 60th birthday on October 2nd, and to commemorate the big day, an all-star benefit show will take place the night before at the Beacon Theatre in New York. Bruce Springsteen, Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Mary J. Blige, Herbie Hancock, Robert Downey Junior, Vince Gill, Will.i.am, Rufus Wainwright, Branford Marsalis, Chris Botti and Billy Joel, will all be a part of the big event.
Besides being a celebration of Sting's birthday and the 25th anniversary of his solo career, the show will benefit the Robin Hood Foundation, which helps fight poverty in New York City.
Unfortunately, tickets won't be available to the general public, but a limited amount are being held back for members of Sting's fan club and are on sale now.
Sting is gearing up to join one of the guests at his birthday show, country superstar Vince Gill for the latest installment of "CMT Crossroads." The concert show pairs stars from different genres for a night of unforgettable music making. The two are set to collaborate for the special in the coming weeks, with an air date slated for November.
“These are two Hall of Famers who, by our count, have 36 Grammys between them,” says John Hamlin of CMT. “Both artists have wanted to do ‘Crossroads’ for years, and this is the perfect pairing for them. They have been waiting for the right time, and now is the time. This is going to be an unforgettable evening.”
The taping will take place in New York City in the coming weeks. It will mark the first ‘Crossroads’ taped in the Big Apple in over five years. Previous popular pairings for the fan-favorite show have included LeAnn Rimes with Joss Stone, the Pretenders with Faith Hill, Jimmy Buffet with Zac Brown Band, Keith Urban with John Mayer, Bryan Adams with Jason Aldean, Def Leppard with Taylor Swift, 38 Special with Trace Atkins, Maroon 5 with Sara Evans, and most recently, Luke Bryan with the Doobie Brothers.
This collaboration marks the second time in the past several months that Gill has teamed up with an artist in the rock world. Gill recently lent his guitar playing talents to ‘Runaway Train,’ a song that will appear on Alice Cooper‘s forthcoming album ‘Welcome 2 My Nightmare.’
