Twisted Sister/Dee Snider News: ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ recap & preview, Autobiography signings, Hornitos Tequila promotion
On last Sunday’s ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ (March 3) Dee Snider wasn’t able to participate in the task due to the broken finger he suffered on the previous week’s episode, even though he was ready to. The teams were to put together a window display presenting Ivanka Trump’s fashion line in store front in New York City.
Dee seemed to realize he was dodging a bullet by avoiding participating in this fashion focused competition, saying: “This task is not in any of our team members’ wheelhouses.”
Dee was worried that his absence would give his teammates the impression that he couldn’t be counted on, and judging by Arsenio Hall’s comments, he had reason to be concerned. But the doctor was much more concerned that Dee’s hand not heal in an improper manner, and ordered him into the operating room right away.
Snider had four pins inserted into his finger. “I don’t whimper and I don’t give up,” he defiantly stated, and sure enough he showed up in full cast and sling to rry and help his teammates on the final day of the challenge.
The men lost the task for the first time this season, but after a few jokes about being sent away for time to heal, and whether or not he’d ever be able to wear “pirate jewelry” or make the devil’s horn hand symbol ever again, Snider’s team unanimously agreed with Donald Trump’s take that he be exempted from being fired. Donald Trump told Dee, “I respect you being here, I’ll be honest with you, because I heard it was very serious.” Dee replied, “I’ll tell you, when (the doctor) told me I wasn’t going to be able to do this (horns up) if I didn’t get the surgery, I said, ‘I gotta get the surgery!
Dee is to be in a full-on arm sling restricting his movements for the next 10 days, so we’ll just have to see how that impedes his abilties in the next task.
Star Trek’s George Takei (“Mr. Sulu”) was shown the door, and the rest move on to the next challenge. Here’s the full episode and a preview of the episode this Sunday, March 11, on NBC at 9/8c. \
