In a Twitter post from last Monday night (Mar. 7), Tyler wrote that he and guitarist Joe Perry put their heads together on March 6th and are ready to crank out the first all-new Aerosmith album since 2004.

“Aerofreaksrejoice… Joe and I sent smoke signals… shot the shit and chewed the fat for the last year,” Tyler posted. “But just smoked the peace pipe for an hour and are on our way to rock’in your fkin worlds this summer by locking ourselves away somewhere [with] guitars and drums… Luv ST.”

Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer will stop by the South By Bookstore to greet SXSW (South By Southwest) registrants and sign copies of his autobiography, “Hit Hard: A Story Of Hitting Rock Bottom At The Top”. It will all happen March 18 from 2 to 2:30pm at the South By Bookstore (500 E. Cesar Chavez St.) in Austin, TX. The event is open to SXSW registrants only.

“Hit Hard: A Story Of Hitting Rock Bottom At The Top” was released on June 30, 2009 through HarperCollins. In the book, Kramer, a founding member and drummer of Aerosmith, courageously tells the world how he has wrestled with depression as part of the most successful rock band in American history.
