Alice Cooper has been closing the shows on his North American tour dates by performing a hard-rocking version of Lady Gaga’s hit ‘Born This Way,’ and now the pop diva herself is giving the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer some major props for his rendition. Lady Gaga has in the past stated an affinity for hard rock and british metal, having even offered to be a roadie for Iron Maiden. She also is a fan of Judas Priest, Anthrax and of course of Alice himself.

Alice has added some new lyrics in his rendition, while still keeping the original tune’s theme of self-acceptance and empowerment. Gaga recently tweeted a link to a recent performance and wrote, “Has anyone seen @realalicecooper cover ‘BORN THIS WAY’ during his show?” She then tweeted directly to Cooper, referencing a line from the movie ‘Wayne’s World,’ “I am not worthy, Sire.”

Lady Gaga added, “The way he changed the words to be about him was so rad. I want to hang out with #FRANKENGAGA.” That’s a reference to a gigantic monster character sporting a blonde-wig that appears onstage during Cooper’s “Born This Way” performances. Look for Alice to continue performing ‘Born This Way’ on his summer tour with Iron Maiden, starting tomorrow in Charlotte, NC.

Alice Cooper rocked a midnight show at Bonnaroo 2012 in Manchester, Tennessee earlier this month (June 9) where he performed ‘Born This Way’ and a full set of all his classics.
