Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich talked to Rolling Stone magazine about yesterday’s (Wednesday, September 14) concert at the new Yankee Stadium in New York City featuring the “Big Four” – Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax.

Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine mentioned his upcoming neck surgery prior to performing the song “She-Wolf” at yesterday’s September 14) “Big Four” concert at the new Yankee Stadium in New York City. On Monday it looked like Megadeth wouldn’t be able to play the show due to Mustaine’s condition (Dave was apparently lying in a hospital bed on Tuesday in preparation for his upcoming surgery), but he came through and seemed as comfortable as he could be up there on stage. Slayer members Tom Araya and Kerry King also spoke to Rolling Stone magazine about playing the hallowed grounds of Yankee Stadium.

“We’ve only played one other place that I think is a really special place, and that’s Madison Square Garden,” said Araya. “I want to be tight at Yankee Stadium,” added King. “I want to be tight everywhere, but you know, this is a big show.”
