David Ellefson will be releasing his upcoming autobiography later this year as the following press released was released in regards to the book:
As a member of Megadeth and long-time collaborator of Dave Mustaine, bassist David Ellefson has quite a life story to tell and that’s just what he’s offering up in his upcoming memoir “My Life With Deth”. Ellefson penned the autobiography over the last year with the assistance of writer Joel McIver and it’s due out on Oct. 29 through Howard Books.
Life in Megadeth likely provides enough material for more than one book but Ellefson digs much deeper into his own personal story throughout “My Life With Deth” covering everything from his initial descent into addiction early on in his career, his recovery, and his return to a Christian faith. He also talks about his studies to become a Lutheran pastor and his current work with MEGA Life! Ministries.
Ellefson spoke about his upcoming book, sharing, “My autobiography is not the usual tale of rock ‘n’ roll woe, but rather something I hope will truly inspire people.” He continued, “I have dedicated my life to my craft, and I wanted to share the story of how a kid with a bass guitar and the dream of rock stardom literally risked it all to move from the farm in Minnesota to Los Angeles, and with a lot of hard work, sacrifice and a little luck along the way, made the dream come true.”
