M.I.A. guitarist Jake E. Lee (Ozzy Osbourne/Badlands) appears in a new video for the song ‘We Come Undone’ from the reunited rockers Beggars & Thieves. Other guests joining Jake E. Lee in the video are Ron Keel (Keel, Steeler), Blas Elias (Slaughter) and Paul Shortino (Rough Cutt, Quiet Riot). Jake E. Lee has made only the rare appearance over the years, and we can only hope this may be the beginning of more fron Jake.
‘We Come Undone’ is from the reunited Beggars & Thieves’ latest album, ‘We Are The Brokenhearted,’ which was released on November 29th by Frontiers Records.
Beggars & Thieves had some initial success with their self-titled debut album on Atlantic Records back in 1990, getting airplay with the first single from that album. They moved to new label Epic Records, who decided not to release the bands second studio album, “Look What You Create”, which was written and produced with Jim Vallance (Aerosmith, Bryan Adams, Scorpions, Heart and more).
In the late ’90s, Beggars & Thieves independently released the album “Look What You Create” followed by “The Grey Album” in 1999. The band then stopped making new music and playing gigs until 2004 when founding members, Louie Merlino (singer) and Ronnie Mancuso (guitar) started to play again with guitarist Brent Muscat (Faster Pussycat/Sin City Sinners) and drummer Lez Warner (The Cult). The band opened shows for Tesla, Vince Neil, Ratt, Slaughter and Skid Row.
Legendary guitarist Jake E. Lee rocked with Ozzy Osbourne on the hugely successful albums “Bark at the Moon” (1983) and “The Ultimate Sin” (1986). He then formed Badlands with former Black Sabbath singer Ray Gillen. Lee also briefly played with a band called Wicked Alliance before setting off on his own, before releasing his solo debut, “A Fine Pink Mist”, in 1996. Lee’s last release was a covers album called “Retraced” back in 2005.
