Another band from the late 80’s rock scene that was essentually squashed with the arrival of grunge is reuniting for a show in the U.K. and one in their hometown of Philadelphia. The band is Heavens Edge and they were a part of that Philly rock scene that included Cinderella, Britny Fox and others.  Heavens Edge are planning the two gigs, and if things go well, we could see more from the band. Their debut album in 1990 included their most popular track ‘Skin To Skin,’ which you may remember.

Heavens Edge formed in 1987 in Philadelphia, PA and was founded by guitarist Reggie Wu and singer Mark Evans, along with drummer Dave Rath, bass player George Guidotti and guitarist Steve Parry. Through the late 1980’s they played to packed houses at legendary Philadelphia area clubs like The Empire, The Trocadero and The Galaxy. After being signed to Columbia Records in 1989 Heaven’s Edge released 2 albums: Heavens Edge (1990) for Columbia Records, that reached number 141 on The Billboard 200, and Some Other Place Some Other Time(1999) on MTM Records. Heavens Edge was produced by Neil Kernon. The band released a music video on MTV for their most popular single, “Skin To Skin” Heaven’s Edge signed a new record deal with Capitol Records in 1991 and were asked to record a new album. The album was originally scheduled to be released in 1992 but was never finished until 1998 when a couple of new songs were written and recorded. Their second album, Some Other Place, Some Other Time was released by MTM Music in Europe, Pony Canyon in Japan, and Perris Records in the United States. The US version had a different cover and six additional demo tracks as bonus. In 2010 their debut record was re-released on Rock Candy Records as a special 20 year anniversary edition with two additional tracks.   source: wikipedia
