Jimmy Fallon continues with his greatness in musical impersonations last night, morphing Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow and early-70s David Bowie. “Tebowie” was the result and it is a must watch!
Fallon worked a conversation between Tebow and Jesus into ‘Space Oddity’: “This is Jesus Christ to Tim Tebow, please leave me alone / Don’t you know my day of rest is Sunday / And I’m sick of watching all these Broncos games,” he sings to the tune of the familiar chorus.
“I hear that you play New England next week / Dude you’re on your own / Brady is too good and I’ve got better things to do.”
Fallon nails the outfit as well, from the boots to the makeup, shoulderpads and Tebow jersey. The skit finishes with Tebowie crouching to a knee and putting a fist to his forehead, as the quarterback as done on so many occasions. We’ll see how often he gets to do it this weekend against the Patriots.
