Aerosmith have started work on their new album at guitarist Joe Perry’s home studio (The Boneyard) in suburban Boston.

Here’s a video with Joe Perry and Jack Douglas behind the scenes in the studio looking at Joe’s collection of equipment, with Joe saying he copied Ry Cooder’s set up. Steven Tyler shows up at the end of the video to grab some instrumentation. The bands long-awaited 14th studio album will be the first set of original material since 2001’s “Just Push Play” and first studio offering since 2004’s covers CD, “Honkin’ On Bobo”.
