Kid Rock performed last night in Dallas at the “Pepsi Fan Jam 2011” concert on VH1, with cuts from “Born Free” including “God Bless Saturday” and “Only God Knows Why” (with touring mate Jamey Johnson), and “All Summer Long”. They wish it was “summer long” in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, what with the freezing temperatures they have been getting. Also featured at the concert were Jason Derulo and Duran Duran. Kid Rock’s US tour continues February 8th in Bossier City, Louisiana. In other Kid Rock news, his appearance on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight” was suppost to air on Feb. 7th, but with what’s happening in Egypt, it’s been moved to another, as yet to be announced date. We’ll keep you posted.
Kid Rock along with John Legend & The Roots, Willie Nelson, Bon Jovi, Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill, Arcade Fire, Wilco and Cyndi Lauper are among the headliners for the 2011 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. Those performers will join hundreds of Louisiana artists, including Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, The Neville Brothers, Dr. John, Irma Thomas, Pete Fountain, Kermit Ruffins & the Barbecue Swingers and Mystikal. Festival producer Quint Davis says this year’s lineup delivers an unprecedented balance of the traditional and the contemporary. The seven-day festival runs April 29 to May 1 and May 5-8 at the Fair Grounds Race Course.
