NYMag.com has reported that HBO has cast Lars Ulrich of Metallica in “Hemingway And Gellhorn,” with a star studded cast.

The movie will star Nicole Kidman and Clive Owen and be directed by Philip Kaufman. It’s is set to be televised on HBO later this year and tells the story of one of America’s most famous literary couples, Ernest Hemingway (Owen) and Martha Gellhorn (Kidman). It begins in 1936 when the pair first met in a bar in Florida; he was already a famous writer and she was one of the greatest war correspondents of the 20th Century.

Ulrich will play Dutch documentarian Joris Ivens in the TV movie, which will follow the couple’s relationship from the time they met in 1936 through the time they spent together in the Spanish Civil War.

David Strathairn, Parker Posey and Tony Shalhoub have been added to the cast, as well.
