Mick Jones and Lou Gramm of Foreigner will reunite onstage for the first time in over a decade at the upcoming Songwriters Hall of Fame awards ceremony in New York City on June 13th. Mick Jones says that the two will perform two songs: ‘Juke Box Hero’ and ‘I Want to Know What Love Is’, with “Lou suggested both of them.”
Jones is happy to be celebrating the event with Gramm, who left the band in 2003, due to a lack of communication between the two. “I think this band has always been a song-driven band and so that has its place for me and it’s very important and it’s going to be great to share that with Lou. It will help us to move along in our relationship, which has been fairly quiet in the last seven or eight years.”
Jones added, “I’m so proud of what Lou and I achieved in those early years and throughout the time that we were together. I think it’s the first time that we’ve been recognized for our work and our writing, which was really the foundation of what we did together, as much as the performing.”
