Neil Young will participate in a Q&A about his upcoming memoir, ‘Waging Heavy Peace’ at the BookExpo America trade show at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City on June 6th. The event, being called ‘A Conversation with Neil Young,’ is start at noon that day in the facility’s Special Events Hall, and seating will be open to all of the convention’s attendees on a first-come, first-served basis.

According to a statement from BookExpo America, the ‘Waging Heavy Peace’ will offer “a kaleidoscopic view of [Young’s] personal life and musical creativity.” The book will be published this fall by the Penguin Group imprint Blue Rider Press.

Young’s appearance at the expo will take place on the day after he releases his upcoming classic American folk song album with Crazy Horse ‘Americana.’ The album will be the first from Crazy Horse since ‘Greendale’ in 2003, and their first album with the full Crazy Horse line-up of Billy Talbot, Ralph Molina and Frank “Poncho” Sampedro since ‘Broken Arrow’ in 1996. Songs include “This Land Is Your Land,” “Gallows Pole,” “Tom Dooley” and “Clementine.”

The album was recorded at Audio Casa Blanca and was produced by Neil Young and John Hanlon with Mark Humphreys.

Neil Young and Crazy Horse made their first live appearance since 2004 playing a version of ‘I Saw Her Standing There’ at the MusicCares tribute to Paul McCartney this past February in Los Angeles. Despite the albums release, the band has no immediate touring plans. “I honestly have not heard a solitary thing about touring,” Crazy Horse drummer Ralph Molina wrote on his Facebook page last month.
