Kiss frontman Paul Stanley recently underwent surgery to repair vocal cord issues that have plagued for the past few years. His publicist released this statement: “I hold myself to a higher standard than others do, with that in mind, I wanted to remedy a few minor issues that come with 40 years of preaching rock n’ roll.” Reportedly his recovery is expected will be “swift and complete.”

No telling what this means in regards to how far along the band’s 20th album ‘Monster‘ is in the recording process. Stanley may have already finished recording his vocals and will be using the time before the release date this spring to prepare for the promotional effort behind the album, or it pushed back the date. I’m guessing the former.
