Here’s a really cool video recap of the PJ20 Festival last weekend at Alpine Valley, Wisconsin.
Besides the documentary, Pearl Jam will release a book also titled Pearl Jam 20. The book will include notes, personal drawings, pictures, and other never-before-seen pages from the band’s two-decade history. What’s more, the introduction, which was penned by Crowe, will feature interviews with Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl.
Pearl Jam has an extensively history with all three artists. The band and Springsteen were both on the Vote for a Change Tour of 2004, and Grohl and Vedder toured together with Mike Watt in the ’90s. As for Young, his influence has always washed over the Seattle rockers. The two teamed up for 1995′s Mirror Ball and a number of Young’s tunes pop up in the band’s setlists tour after tour.
Jonathan Cohen, who books musical guests on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and Mark Wilkerson, author of Who Are You: The Life of Pete Townsend, wrote and compiled the book. The end result will be available starting September 13th.
