The Rolling Stones in-depth documentary titled ‘Crossfire Hurricane,’ will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on January 15th in the U.S., and a week earlier in the U.K. The film premiered last month in select theaters and has had multiple airings on HBO. Academy Award nominee Brett Morgan directed ‘Crossfire Hurricane,’ gaining unprecedented access to the band and never-before-seen footage to tell the complete history of the legendary British rockers. The film tells the story of the Stones from their roots in London’s blues scene, to their rise through the chaos of drugs, excess, musical innovation and commercial success on a worldwide level. Many who have seen the roc-doc agree that it is the best documentary ever on The Rolling Stones.

“For anyone who wants to experience the band, this is the film that will defy convention and create a sonic tapestry to transport viewers into the world of the Rolling Stones,” Morgen said in a press release. “The film will deliver the original, bold, sexy and dangerous flavor of the iconic rock band.”
