Members of a few of the most acclaimed musicians around from the bands: Rush, Tool, Primus and The Police got together for an all-star jam recently. Neil Peart, Danny Carey, Les Claypool and Stewart Copeland got together at Copeland’s studio for a jam session under the name CCCP (a very Soviet name).

They filmed the event, and you can hear what the four came up with on a song they call Count Drumula. As jam sessions go, Count Drumula is engaging stuff, a funky, jazzy groove which is highlighted by Carey showing off his trombone chops and Copeland pitching in on guitar and tuba.

Apparently, the footage had its first public showing at Carey’s 50th birthday party last May. So far, there are no plans for the four musicians to collaborate further, so CCCP might be a one-shot deal.
