1990’s rockers Saigon Kick, featuring Matt Kramer (vocals), Phil Varone (drums), Jason Bieler (guitar) and Tom Defile (bass) have reunited and are planning to hit the road soon. They will be joined by another returning band member, bassist Chris McLernon, who will handle rhythm-guitar duties on the upcoming dates.
Kramer said about the reunion, “A 20-year lapse has finally come to an end. Saigon Kick will be reuniting with all original members for a few shows this fall. Let’s see if we can even make it past the first rehearsal.” Saigon Kick’s second album, 1992’s ‘The Lizard’, was the band’s most popular, and featured their big hit track, ‘Love Is On The Way’. The track reached No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 and its accompanying video was in the top 10 MTV countdown for many weeks. The band toured from summer 1992 to spring 1993 and ‘The Lizard’ was eventually certified gold by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association Of America) for sales in excess of 500,000 copies.
