Saxon had to cancel their show tonight (Aug. 10) at Vagos Open Air in Fago, Portugal. The band posted the following maessage yesterday on their Facebook page:

“Due to an injury to frontman Biff Byford, Saxon will be unable to perform at the Vagos Open Air in Fago, Portugal on the 10th of August 2013. At the present the severity of Biff’s injuries are unknown and doctors have advised him strongly not to perform. Saxon is extremely sad at disappointing the fans in Portugal and hope they can come back soon.

Take care of yourself Biff and we hope you get back onstage as soon as you are cleared medically. Saxon is slated to hit the U.S. for a fall tour with support act Fozzy starting September 12 at The Emporium in Patchogue, New York.
