Jon Bon Jovi is now joining Justin Bieber and all the other musicians bringing forth a fragrance. It obviously can be quite lucrative, and Jon being the biz-ness man that he is, has splashed into the fray.
JBJ has teamed up with Avon to be the face of a new fragrance line called ‘Unplugged.’ The women’s version will debut in October, while the men’s version will hit stores in November, just in time for Christmas I suppose.
Unplugged for Her is described as a “floral oriental” scent, while Unplugged for Him is a “woody floral musk” scent. Both will be sold exclusively through Avon representatives in North America.
Jon said in a statement: “Avon, and the Avon Foundation for Women, have given support and a voice to those in need for decades. Their philosophy of empowerment sends a strong message and I’m pleased to partner with them.” An Avon exec said that Jon was the perfect choice for the campaign because the scents “evoke an emotional connection — something Jon inspires in audiences around the world.”
Bon Jovi have been partially credited with inspiring the creation of the popular series MTV Unplugged, having performed ‘Livin’ On A Prayer’ in 1989 on the MTV Video Music Awards.
