Finally The Grammy Museum sees the power of the Metal! The museum at L.A. Live will debut a new exhibit ‘Golden Gods: The History of Heavy Metal’ on April 11.

The show is a collaboration with Revolver Magazine and will open in time to coincide with Revolver’s The Golden Gods of Metal awards show. Look for the exhibition to display “rare artifacts from iconic metal bands” such as instruments, stage props, handwritten lyrics, costumes and “interactive experiences” like “Metal riff stations,” a vocal “scream” booth and a double kick drum that teaches visitors Heavy Metal drumming.

The exhibit will teach visitors about the origins of Heavy Metal, its many subgenres, the bands that made Heavy Metal famous and offer a look into the controversy that has surrounded the genre for the past four decades.

‘Golden Gods: The History of Heavy Metal’ will be on display in The Grammy Museum’s Special Exhibits Gallery through February 2013. The Grammy Museum is located in the L.A. Live district, 800 W. Olympic Blvd., Ste. A245 in Los Angeles, CA.
