Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers have announced their 2014 North American tour and the release of their new album on Reprise Records, ‘Hypnotic Eye.’ The album will be released July 29, with the tour kicking off August 3 in San Diego. Tickets for the tour go on sale beginning May 31, with every ticket including the new album. Special guest on all the dates will be Steve Winwood.
The tour will include already announced headline performances at San Francisco’s Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival and at the Lockn’ Festival in Arrington, VA on September 6. On Labor Day weekend, for the first time ever, the band will perform at Boston’s Fenway Park.
Hypnotic Eye will be available in CD, digital, high resolution Blu-ray audio and vinyl formats. The vinyl will be available as 1-LP or as 2-LPs inclusive of an additional track not available in any other format. Members of the band’s Highway Companions Fan Club are eligible for special ticket presales, and member bonuses that include a CD copy of ‘Hypnotic Eye’ and a digital download of a new concert recording ‘Live 2013,’ featuring 11 performances selected by Petty from the Heartbreakers’ residencies in New York and Los Angeles, with tracks recorded at last year’s Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival.
