Here is what are in my opinion, the top tracks in rock of 2011. This is a totally subjective, so I welcome any and all comments on anything you think should have made the top 20. Thanks again for checking out Marshallofrock.com in 2011, and I will continue to bring you the best in rock for 2012!

#1 Rival Sons ‘Pressure & Time’ – This is my song of the year for 2011. When I first heard this it blew me away like no other track did in 2011. I had to listen to it over and over and over….and over. I appreciate what this band is bringing and look forward to what thier future holds.

#2 Foo Fighters ‘Walk’ – An awesome track and an awesome video. The Foos continue to connect and continually amaze.

#3 Black Country Communion ‘The Outsider’ – It fucking rocks…period! Glenn Hughes. Joe Bonnamassa, Jason Bonham and Derek Sheridian just continue rocking the right way with this cut. Hope they are around for many years to come.

#4 Alter Bridge ‘Ghost Of Days Gone By’ – It’s just a track that has a way to connect, much as the band did in an overwhelming way in 2011. A great song from a great band!

#5 Kopek ‘Cocaine Chest Pains’ – Really liking what this Irish trio is bringing. ‘Love Is Dead’ is another quality track worth checking out from their album ‘White Collar Lies’

#6 Black Stone Cherry ‘White Trash Millionaire’ – The Kentucky rockers bring in outside writers to collaborate with and producer Howard Benson on their latest album ‘Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea,’ and the result is a great album with this track as the first release.

#7 Foo Fighters ‘Rope’ – This Foo track is just too good not to give the band a second song in my top 10 of the year. This was the first single from ‘Wasting Light,’ and the beginning of the album debuting at #1, and the Foos having an incredible amazing 2011!

#8 Rise Against ‘Help Is On The Way’ – The Chicago rockers continue to bring idealistic rock to the masses, with this song and video a perfect example of the impact they have. They continue to impact their message in the right way, at the right time. Thanks to Rise Against!

#9 Black Country Communion ‘Man In The Middle’ – Another amazing track (and a video for this one) from one of the best of 2011!

#10 SIXX A.M. ‘Lies Of The Beautiful People’ – Nikki Sixx, DJ Ashba and James Michael had a great run with this former #1 rock track in the country. The whole project with the book and photos was a slam dunk and it’s just a great, uplifting song. Be yourself, be happy, be tolerant, everyone is beautiful in their own way.
