According to The Boston Herald, Van Halen could release the first single from their new album next Tuesday. The song is called “Late Term” and will give an an indication of the band’s sound on their new album with singer David Lee Roth. The news comes from “a friend of a friend who is tight with someone in the Van Halen camp.” So we’ll see what develops.
Van Halen were supposed to perform during the Soundwave Revolution touring festival in Australia later this year but because tvent couldn’t book another headliner (rumored to have been Aerosmith), it was cancelled. However, that doesn’t mean the band won’t be heading Down Under. According to Australian rock station Triple M, Van Halen are considering a trek in Australia early next year. The station says promoters are talking to the band’s management to work out the details. A week following the cancellation of Soundwave Revolution, which they were headlining, two promoters have spoken to Van Halen management and band saying ‘we really want Van Halen here next year.”
